peacerist cell discovered

Another group of avowed peacerists was discovered today on a sizeable ranch east of suburban San Diego, California, USA. At least seven individuals were removed from the compound for questioning, all of whom flashed ‘victory’ fingers, known in America as the ‘peace’ sign. Also found on the secluded premises were huge stockpiles of hugs, positive feels, kind words, heartfelt gestures, and other such sappy drivel. Experts indicate that the group was readying to launch a campaign of unconditional loving affection in the upcoming months, or even weeks.

Authorities destroyed plots of spathiphyllum, or peace lilies, that were being cultivated in at least five greenhouses. “It’s crazy to think we’d find this kind of activity here, of all places,” said local sheriff Pietro Nunez-Smith. “I’m just glad these peacerists were found before they launched any type of caring, or affirmative, action.”

“This is a war-loving town,” said Georgina T. Robinsceau, a city councilperson. “Companies here produce and sell tens of billions of dollars of weapons to militaries, dictators, and militant groups around the world. Who would have imagined that vile peacerists would want to disrupt such commerce? I’m sickened.” The number of peacerists attacks on soft targets is expected to increase in direct proportion to the scale and scope of ongoing wars, worldwide.

Grigovian peace bonds

The Grigovian Ministry of Peace, Harmony, and Cooperation (MOPHAC) is proud to announce the return of Peace Bonds! Starting in March of [Gregorian 2017, Lunisolar 4714, Hebrew 5777], Peace Bonds will be available for purchase at any of MOPHAC’s two-score national chapters. Proceeds from the sale of Peace Bonds will be used to fund vocational training and other forms of education for the thousands of Syrian refugees resettled within Grigovia and our neighboring states, primarily Iran and Afghanistan. Unlike War Bonds, which are used by some Western countries to fund aggressive, illegal, and immoral incursions into the territories of sovereign foreign nations, Peace Bonds will be used to help lift displaced and otherwise impoverished persons - Grigovians and new arrivals alike - out of poverty by giving them the tools they need to live productive and healthy lives. Courses such as Community Gardening and Health Through Repetitive Application as well as Hacking Skills for Tomorrow’s Computing are on offer at all campuses of the Grigovian National Education System, free of charge. For more information about Peace Bonds or to volunteer to host a family fleeing war in Syria, please contact your local parliamentary representative, zheriph’s office, or Grigovian People’s Army agent.

Grigovian princesses born

With little fanfare and less public fuss, princess Thallandia Yündlennd of Grigovia recently gave birth to healthy twin girls. The heiresses to the (perfunctory and largely ceremonial) royal house of this small, landlocked Central Asian nation were born in the wee hours of Saturday morning to the aforementioned princess and Reginald Augustus Steele, a U.S. born author, artist, and social critic who can trace his ancestry to the founding of the American republic. Now that his liaison with princess Thallandia has borne fruit, two of the world's strongest hereditary lines have merged: a Son of the American Revolution and direct descendant of the Founders of the Virginia Colony, Mr. Steele walks in Beauty, working tirelessly to safeguard Liberty; and Her Somewhat Royal Highness Ms. Yündlennd can trace her ancestry all the way back to wise old king Krukuv himself, who in the 14th Century married a fierce-eyed princess of the most powerful Yaelong tribe and later dug the first tunnels under now-cosmopolitan Grig. “It is good that so few people have taken notice of this event,” said a radiantly glowing princess Thallandia during an on-line video interview. “We are glad to have received only a handful of cards from well-wishers, and happy that we can go about our business without being hounded by hordes of paparazzi.” In the background of the high-definition video up-link, Reginald Steele, whose presence causes hearts to stir, nodded sagely while tending to his newborn children. Thallandia continued, saying, “According to a recent census, the Grigovian people tolerate the House of Yündlennd for the following reasons: we maintain traditions such as the monthly Celebration of the New Moon, which is also a national women's holiday; we live modestly and do not parade around in gilded coaches; we spend our time and resources advancing the causes of personal liberty, self-sufficiency, and world peace; and most of all because we stay out of politics and watch as the citizens of this fine land rule themselves through an efficient and direct democracy.” The twins – born in summer's heat – carry the names Shimur and Freya.

Nobel retrieves medal

After realizing it had prematurely bestowed its Peace Prize on a fear-mongering, death-dealing war criminal named president Barrack Hussein Obama, the Nobel committee sailed from Helsinki, Finland with the sole purpose of taking the metal disk back. “We made a grave mistake when we handed out this medal,” said Eslaff Thuirn, temporary midshipman and longtime head of Friends of the Nobel Peace Prize, a non-profit watchdog group. “Peace prizes are only for persons who love peace: Mr. Obama has proven that he is willing to kill and maim individuals living in nations with which the United States of America is not at war, and that he relishes in ending the lives of emergency responders as well as innocent women and children. Hopefully, he will understand the notion of Paradox and relinquish the medal without struggle.”

Upon hearing the news, president Obama took his Nobel Peace Prize from where it had been hanging on a wall next to half of a roadkilled squirrel and a shredded paper crown from his favorite fast-food joint and used a permanent marker to draw a Hitler-style mustache on the cast likeness of Mr. Nobel himself. “Fuck all those bitches!” Barack Hussein said with glee, leaping up from his desecration so as to order a drone-strike against the ship carrying the Nobel committee, as they had just entered international waters and clearly and presently threatened the last, tattered remnants of his pride.

border location confirmed

Even as it is tussling with Pakistan on its southeastern border, Afghanistan is celebrating its ongoing friendship with a small neighbor to the northwest, the Glorious Republic of Grigovia. “We recognize the continuing validity and current location of our border with Grigovia, and rejoice in the many years of peaceful prosperity we have shared together,” said Hamid Karzai, prime minster of Afghanistan, at an early-morning press conference in Herat. “Unlike the borders drawn by the cowardly British during the 19th Century, the delineating line that separates the Grigovian from the Afghani people runs exactly where we both agreed it should run during 1952's Regional Conference for Peaceful Prosperity – Central Asia.” After his speech, Karzai warmly greeted his counterpart from Grigovia, the newly-elected prime minister Dr. Frederikka Velldoyend.

“Thank you, brother Hamid,” said prime minster Velldoyend after waiting for a round of raucous applause to die down. “As one of the first female prime minsters in the history of Central Asia, I am overjoyed to be able to recommit to a future replete with peaceful cooperation and prosperous dealings between our two peoples. Together – that is, without any more undue and illegal meddling by foreign powers, especially the United States of America – we might yet after so many decades of hateful warmongering experience peace in these lands. Begone, Ynki invaders, and may you darken our common soils no longer.” To commemorate the occasion, the prime ministers signed a mutual trade and travel pact designed to increase and promote interaction between the Afghani and Grigovian peoples.

practicing for peace

Unlike the majority of his schoolmates and friends who received video games such as Modern Warfare or Call Of Duty for their b-days or x-mas this year, 9 year-old prissy pants Samwell Youlissees Chorrand, of Oxnard, California was elated to get as a present a copy of the first edition of Mashing Buttons 4 Peace, or MB4P. Available only in select areas and sold only to little fucking weaklings and their fucking weakling moms, MB4P is slated to underwhelm all expectations, and to sell poorly. Said a source at Electronic Arts (EA), the company that created the game, who demanded he remain anonymous so as to spare himself and his family a lifetime of public mockery, “We made MB4P because a group of parents – OK, moms – kept emailing us about the violent nature of most of our teen-oriented games, claiming they would sue if we didn't come up with something for the pre-teen and teen markets not focused on war-making, death, murder, terrorism, or the wiping out of turban-wearing baddies. MB4P is, well, it's something, but, well… fuck, man, you did promise not to print my name in this article, right?”

In Mashing Buttons 4 Peace, the player depresses various keys on a wireless controller in time to music or in synchrony with images displayed on the screen, which causes an elaborately-crafted avatar to twirl about and leap for joy in one of only a handful of locations, either in a field of golden swaying wheat, in the Great Chamber at the United Nations building in New York City, or in a sky-scape made up entirely of rainbows. (After forcing ourselves to play MB4P for long enough to reach the first save-point, it appears to us that the optimization of one's avatar for cooperative wheat-field-spinning is the game's primary purpose.) According to young Master Chorrand, the game is, “Awesome. So cool. Just look at the little guy who kinda looks like me dancing at the U.N. with all types of other avatars who have different skin-tones and different costumes. What a treat.” While looking on lovingly and filling out the insurance forms necessary to cover her son when he is beaten down and physically abused at school for being a little fucking pussy-ass bitch, Mrs. Tarranz Jaimms Chorrand, aged 42, proclaimed: “I am so very happy that EA bowed to our wishes and finally came up with a game that promotes Global Peace and that fosters peaceful coexistence between all humans, regardless of dress, religion, or choice of head-covering. The sole remaining task for us Mothers Against War-Making In Video Games, or MAWMIVG, is to convince the rest of America's parents to stop buying games that train young children in the art of making war or that convince kids it is OK to firebomb a shack filled with people, to shoot airplanes piloted by humans from the sky, or to daisy-chain claymores so as to create the most effective killing-zones. Land-sakes – we're so close, I can feel it.”

Electronic Arts initially fought demands to release a game for teens focused on practicing peace, claiming that it already produces a range of products aimed at children under the age of eight years whose tender brains and stunted views of the realities of life under American world-imperialism make them prone to cry and to wet their pants upon seeing violent images of war. Said the unnamed source at EA after he had returned from the greasy-spoon's bathroom to discover a hundred dollar bill sitting under his half-eaten plate of cheap diner food. “With none of the major television channels or news networks showing pictures of our ongoing wars of aggression or our continuing attempts to subjugate the peoples of the world to the demands of our homegrown corporate profit-mongers, it is our duty to harden the minds of our future soldiers and to get them ready for lives as hired guns in the all-volunteer Armed Forces of the United States of America.”
